Cracking day for Ladies County Autumn Meeting at East Herts GC

Sixty four ladies played in the County Autumn Meeting, kindly hosted by East Herts Golf Club on Monday 2 September.

The weather was beautiful, the course was in super condition with many challenging greens and the delicious evening buffet was much appreciated by everyone.

This year's popular event was played in teams of four, with the best three scores counting on each hole. Eleven clubs took part with Brickendon Grange, Bishop's Stortford, Mill Green, Whitehills and Mid Herts each represented by two teams. Also represented were Aldwickbury, Brookmans Pk, Welwyn Garden City, Porters Pk, Arkley and Heydon Grange.

Brickendon Grange won the trophy, scoring a magnificent 114 points.  Congratulations to Paula Degiulio, Alison Ellis, Laura Bright and Vanessa Dekker, who managed to score six or more points on sixteen holes - a great team effort.

Thanks go to Judy Armitt and Jane Walters for organising the day and to East Herts for all their support in helping the day to run smoothly and to Hertfordshire Golf County President, Hugh Wikner for presenting the trophy..
