HERTFORDSHIRE GOLF UNION RULES SEMINAR
Seminar & Examination for potential Club & County Rules OfficialsAs part of its responsibilities to promote the playing of golf to the Rules, the County will be holding whole-day Seminars for potential Rules Officials.
The most recent seminar was in October 2009, and the next seminar is scheduled for Autumn 2010.
Seminars are aimed particularly at Club members with a keen interest in, and an above average knowledge of, the Rules of Golf who seek to gain accreditation as Rules Officials.
It is the HGU's aim that in due course every Club in Hertfordshire should have at least one, preferably two, accredited Rules Officials to whom Club members, the Secretary and the Club Professional can turn for assistance in interpreting the Rules of Golf.
The Seminar is an obligatory precursor to sitting the written County Rules Examination, through which applicants may gain accreditation as Club Rules Officials, and if particularly knowledgeable, as County Rules Officials.
Cost in 2009: £30 for HGU affiliated club members and £42 non-affiliated.
