Grants

Looking for funding to get more volunteers involved and to expand your junior section?
Then read on…..

The Herts Sports Partnership is offering grants of up to £2500 for GolfMark clubs that are looking to expand their junior section by using volunteers to support a coach.
The aim of this project is to encourage older volunteers aged 50+ to get involved with teaching/instructing the sport to younger generations.

Grants available can cover a range of costs including:
  • Training courses (e.g. First Aid, Chid Protection, CRB checks, Junior Leaders Training, Level 1 Coaching etc)
  • Taster Sessions in schools to promote the new sessions
  • Coaching/instructing fees
As part of your project you might want to introduce Tri Golf aimed at primary age children (5-11year) or focus on the early stages of Junior Golf Passport scheme. This funding can help you recruit new volunteers, encourage more young people to learn the game of golf as well as build closer working relationships with local schools.

The Process

To access this funding you will need to arrange a meeting with Herts Sports Partnership and a Rep from Herts Golf Union to map out your project and complete a simple project proposal form.
