HERTFORDSHIRE GOLF UNION RULES SEMINAR
Seminar & Examination for potential Club Rules Officials
As part of its responsibilities to promote the playing of golf to the Rules, the County will be holding whole-day Seminars for potential Rules Officials.
The next seminar will be on Wednesday October 20 at Moor Park.
This will be followed by a Rules Exam on Wednesday December 8 at Moor Park.
Closing date for entries is Wednesday October 6 2010.
Seminars are aimed particularly at Club members with a keen interest in, and an above average knowledge of, the Rules of Golf who seek to gain accreditation as Rules Officials.
It is the HGU's aim that in due course every Club in Hertfordshire should have at least one, preferably two, accredited Rules Officials to whom Club members, the Secretary and the Club Professional can turn for assistance in interpreting the Rules of Golf.
The Seminar is an obligatory precursor to sitting the written Inter County Rules Examination, through which applicants may gain accreditation as Club Rules Officials, and if particularly knowledgeable, as County Rules Officials.
Cost: £40 for HGU affiliated club members and £50 non-affiliated.
