Bedfordshire tail wags to snatch unlikely draw against Herts
Wed 28th JulA strong fightback by Bedfordshire Colts meant that Herts Colts could only draw their opening South-East group league game at West Herts on July 24.
Herts had moved into a strong position at lunchtime, with a 3-1 lead in the foursomes following wins from Tom Speyer/Nick Algate, Dave Wells/Tom Cutting and Ollie Brown/George Hewitt.
In the afternoon, wins for Captain Tom Speyer and Nick Algate (pictured) got the team off to a strong start and put them within sight of the winning post.
But the Bedfordshire tail wagged strongly.
Tom Cutting was the only winner of the last five singles matches, as Beds fought back to grab a draw.
The team's next match is against Middlesex Colts at Fulwell on August 14.
