Hertfordshire 2012 scheme
The County Card: A brief summary
The County Card scheme was launched in Hertfordshire in April 2009.
There are more than 1200 clubs in England in the scheme.
(See below for full list of clubs)
The County Card booklet MUST be produced as proof of identity BY EACH PLAYER to obtain this concession.
Host clubs offer reduced green fees to holders of County Cards. The usual reduction is to the Guest Rate.
The County card is, in fact, a booklet containing a list of all the participating clubs in the County Card scheme.
Members aged 18 and over of Affiliated Clubs may join the scheme ONLY if their own club has agreed to act as a host.
County Card members may generally play at least once per year at any of the Host Clubs on the list (some clubs may allow more than one visit).
Restrictions on time and day of the week may apply.
The County Card may generally only be used for groups of up to 4 players, and not be used in connection with larger groups or societies.
County Card Rates
£3 rate
If a club joins all of its members, the rate will be £3 per head.
£15 rate
For clubs who prefer Individual County Card Membership, members pay £15 each.
So if, say, 40 members elect to join the scheme, they will each pay £15.
Clubs collect the £15 from the members, then pay the HGU.
Ladies
As in 2011, the scheme will also be open to Hertfordshire Ladies in 2011.
If a whole ladies section joins the scheme, they will be entitled to the £3 rate for members (as agreed with the HCLGA).
Clubs who opt to join individual ladies will pay £15 per member.
